Holidays are tiring!

I love Christmas but it makes us so tired that I need a whole week to recover. So as my red dogs! The shopping and cooking and all those wrapping... not much time for photos. Finally today I could sit down and play with my camera and the Photoshop. Morzsa was very cooperative. She did let me put the hat on her this year. Piri was walking around very jealously in her new coat. Since last week was so cold I ordered two coats for them from State Line Track but Morzsa didn't like the coat more than 10 minutes. I guess she wasn't cold. Piri is old and she is much leaner. We old folks, 2 and 4 legged, feel the cold much more that the young folks! If you are in a cold area East or North these coats are very good. Easy to dressed them up and easy on your credit card also! I put the link here so you can check it out. What's that ? Snowball?
I hope your Holiday was nice as ours !

Vizsla video

I found these two Videos on YouTube I think you will enjoy. They were made by Norcsii and they are the property of http://www.kutyasuli.hu/ which is a training school for dogs in Hungary. It looks like they know what they doing! I will certainly show this to Piri and Morzsa to learn something :) I definitely need some help cleaning up the yard. See that Vizsla Samu how he can pick up the cans? Well I was thinking maybe I can teach them to pick up the leaves. We have so many!! As I read their Mirror Teaching method, the main thing is the good relation ship with your Vizslas, clicker training and good everyday routine, feeding, walking etc.
Watch the Videos and make sure you show it to your red dog. Don't forget to get back here after you watched the videos.

Ordinary Days...

...with Vizslas you will never have an ordinary day. Lately Piri who is 12.5 now getting very silly. Since Maszat past the Rainbow bridge the two girls are much calmer though. It seems that 3 was a crowd, 2 is a friendly couple. No arguing, no fight just sweet kisses all over each other and me of course.
Last week Piri started this odd behavior, she was carrying one of the new toy in her mouth all day making little sounds. It seems like she wanted to hide her "new puppy". Morzsa just looked at her wondering what's going on? That's my Toy! Piri never played with that toy! I was all day out cleaning the yard of all the fallen leaves. They were watching and playing, helping me scattering the pile of leaves all over again. Everything was normal. Than the next morning I went to check at the fence what nice job I did and for my surprise I found three of the new plush toy tigers burred along the fence. Piri decided she no longer needs them, I guess. Or she hide it from Morzsa? Who knows... All day Piri started to carry the biggest toy in her mouth. Finally after 3 days of carrying it I did not see the toy so I was looking for it. Took me 2 days to find it. What a good camouflage she did. She put it under one of my flowers and since was too big to burry she put leaves, stick over it. I looked at that place 2-3 times and didn't see it! I left it there for a day and she did not look for it. I wonder what it goes trough her mind? Morzsa is watching her but she is not playing or bringing the toys to me anymore since Piri had this obsessions with them. How strange! Unfortunately Piri, my little girl is getting older and it starts to show. She sleeps long hours even in day time. Hope she will be with us for couple of more years though! I just can't bare the thought to loosing her also after Maszat went so suddenly. I can still see my sweet Vizsla baby in her eyes. She is the Best Vizsla I ever had.
Here are couple of photos I took of this strange day. Since the photos was not sharp enough I painted it with Photoshop.
Piri and her "new baby":
We had a blast time cleaning the yard:This is an "antique" dog house we made for the Kuvasz 20 some years ago. Sometimes the Vizslas when they running in fast ending up knocking their head on the back. Silly dogs! Piri carrying the toy all day!Morzsa is asking me: Do you know what's going on with my Mom?Piri still have the hugh polip toy in her mouth.

Time flys so fast....

It was 12 years ago when Huncut's litter was born from Kayla. The pups was all very sweet and promising. They were all look alike as a good litter should be. I decided to keep one of the girls, Piri. All the other went to very good families. One of them was Russell, who choose a male puppy, Scout. Very beautiful male. Both Piri and Scout was very similar looking. Unfortunately Scout lost one of his leg by an accident couple of years ago but he learned to leave with only 3 very well. Yesterday, when I checked my mail a very sad letter I found in my mail box from Russ. Scout passed away at 12 years of age. He leaved a very good life with his owner and two of my other puppies Max and Ginger. He was the favorite of him as Piri for me. Somehow they were special! Now I am looking at my girl, Piri 12 years old. Time pass very fast! I can still see the jumping puppy in her but most of the time she is resting. I hope she can be with us at least another 3-4 years.
We all getting old. How sad, but this is life nothing we can do about it. After loosing Maszat last month I still feel that she is here with us. Just not in body of course but in Spirit. Vizslas are special, they not all dogs you know; they are half human!
Here is the picture Russ send me. Scout, Ginger sitting on Russ lap and Max.

Rest in Pease my little puppy, Scout!

Maszat October, 11. 2001 - April, 14. 2009.

What a sad day! I just keep crying, can't believe it! One day she is here the other she is gone. I don't know what happened other than she was not eating and her eyes got bloody. When I took her to the Vet and left her there she had a seizer and she didn't come out of it. It was some poison she picked up from somewhere...but where? Her mother, Piri and sister, Morzsa is doing fine. She was only 7.5 years old. All my Vizslas was living for 14-16 years. It is very hard to write about it, not yet anyway. Maszat is the red collar one in this picture, she was an Angel, sweet and calm all the time!
I hope the Rainbow Bridge Poem is true. I wish to see my dogs again!

Good by my sweet Maszat!
This is the poem which inspired me for this photo:

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Rainy days

When rains and not just rains but pours down flooding everything around us what we can do? Curl up on the sofa with a good book or now a days with a good DVD and just relax, wait till is over. Yes it is pours in Los Angeles. Not that we don't need the rain but not all of it all at once! Please! Can we just have one day rain and than the rest of the week sunny?
I usually go to my files and look through my old photos. I love to see the forgotten ones. Like this when Morzsa was just a little puppy. She was exploring everything, even me with my camera.

She was eager to learn and play all the time. Love the faces she made! You taking to me?Morzsa and her littermates are playing with their new blankets. They love the softness. To bad they have to grow up so fast.

Maszat

Maszat, Number 2 Vizsla in the pack.
Dogs have packs. I am the leader as they say but they have the rank among themselves also. Piri who is the mother of the two girls are number one but Maszat number 2 and Morzsa is number 3. Maszat is 7 years old Morzsa is 4. They have the same Sire still they so different in character. Maszat is very sweet but can be rude also. If she is in the mood she will let them know not to come close. She is the one who sleeps under the blanket. When colder she wrap herself totally, even her head and no one can touch her. Maszat is a funny girl. She is the subject of my photos often. Very elegant looking Vizsla. She has a beautiful face and she knows. She acts when I point the camera toward her. Sisters quarrel: Don't bother me I am photographed
Challenging her Mother, Piri:She doesn't run as much as her sister and still she is leaner. She sits beside me while the other two is chasing the ball. I think she is showing me that "I am with you, I don't let you sit alone" That means I have to love her more than the others. This is showing on her face! She take time to eat her food, while Morzsa showels it all in.
When I photo her she make funny faces for me, look:..and she is a talker too. She seems to try to talk to if she wants something. None of the others do that. In this photo; she has all her teeth, not even chipped, just looks that way :) she seems to tell me "Hurry, take my picture I will not sit here all day!" "Look I am bored but I will sit with you, because I love you!"

Mother and daughter

Piri and her daughter, Morzsa. Morzsa is 4 years old. Very sweet, being the youngest of the pack she is number 3. That comes with a package. She has to be in alert all the time. Even in nights. She is the one who is up in a second if "intruder" comes in the yard. She barks so fearfully that no one dare to get closer unless I say so. She thinks she is doing me a big favor to do so. "Don't worry I will protect the house hold!" She has this very serious face when she guards. She loves to run is circles as her mother, Piri did in her earlier years. She loves to chase the ball. She is the more energetic of the two girls and she just loves to kiss!
I redo some of the older pictures of Morzsa. This is her famous look:
You talking to me?I am ready. Are you comming or not?
Piri teaching Morzsa to play. Maszat helps.

My Girls

I looked trough of my old files and found these 2005 photos. On the poster I made is Piri and Maszat her daughter. Bellow is Morzsa the youngest, also daughter of Piri.
Boy they like to run!! This blue Kong toy was Piri's favorite. If I say "keresd = go find" she would look for it even if it takes hours. As she got older her daughters, Maszat and Morzsa challenged her. Now she gave up and let them bring the toy to me. Sometimes Morzsa will give it to her and she put it in my hand happily.
...as I will resize more pictures I will put them up later.
This last one is Maszat again.
